Altaf started his career with a US law firm in London then moved to litigation practice as a barrister at Lincoln’s Inn. Following his time at Linklaters, he became Senior Legal Counsel at the Royal Bank of Scotland and subsequently Deputy General Counsel of the Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank. As a partner at Ijaz Ahmed & Associates (recommended by Legal500 and Chambers & Partners) he maintains relations and works with leading international law firms such as Clifford Chance, Allen & Overy, Freshfields, Dentons, Clyde & Co, HFW, White & Case, Latham & Watkins, Milkbank, Linklaters, Cleary Gottlieb, Watson Farley & Williams and Quinn Emanuel amongst others.
