Janice represents clients in patent litigation, strategic patent and regulatory counseling and transactional matters, with a focus on the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device industries. She specializes in analyzing issues of patent infringement and validity and has rendered opinions on these issues (including freedom to operate and product clearance) in a variety of technical fields. She also handles transactional matters, including the preparation of intellectual property licenses, confidentiality agreements, assignments, joint development agreements, clinical trial agreements and due diligence. Janice is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and has prepared and prosecuted patent applications in a variety of technical fields. Janice has over fifteen years of experience litigating patent infringement suits in the U.S. District Courts, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and the ITC, and appeals to the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the Second Circuit. Janice is admitted to the New York bar and currently practices in New York. Prior to joining Jellins Christensen LLP, Janice was counsel in the New York IP Litigation Group of Alston & Bird LLP. Janice began her legal career as associate at the IP boutique firm Morgan & Finnegan LLP in New York.
