Tom represents employers in all facets of labor and employment law, with a primary focus on wage and hour law. He defends employers in wage and hour class actions and California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) representative actions in federal and state courts, as well as administrative proceedings. He counsels employers in the complex and ever-changing requirements of California wage and hour law, the California Labor Code, Fair Labor Standards Act, and local ordinances. He provides preventive advice to avoid litigation, conducts compliance audits, and assists in developing compliant personnel policies and practices. He and his GBG colleagues handle all aspects of employment and traditional labor litigation and counseling for employers in all industries, including many Fortune 500 companies and Silicon Valley tech firms.
